C Men --
OK, I've got a new cam in my C and she runs like a scalded dog. Many thanks to Miller, Madak, Ingram, Neal, Carden, Saylor, and many others for wise counsel.
Now that that's finished, got a fun question. What is the toughest (physically and mentally demanding) part of putting an MGC together? I say it's a tie between the rear transmission mount and the heater bypass hose. What do you all think?

Nice to hear you got it back on the road. I enjoyed our phone conversations.
Removing and replacing the power unit is my most demanding job. Usually it's a solo task.
Did you know that the motor and trans weighs as much as a Harley?
Ed, I agree, getting the oil sump to clear the front cradle, at the same time getting the rear transmission hub over the fixed frame crossmember, is a pain when mounting the five-foot long engine/transmission. It requires a bit of fiddley, but not the patience and muscle needed to put that darn bypass hose on.

Heater cable inside the box for me, well it's the same on the Bee's.
I will also go for heater cable, trim around windshield and rear window of a GT, remove aand replace the drain bulb that fits up in the heater box is a PITA too. How about trying to load the front suspension with no engine. I had to use a dead man and the ceiling. Those are just a few of the fun things that we all love to do.

Well it seems everyone is in on the secret but me. What was the problem and the solution to the cam? I assume you are the one having issues with inserting it in the rear bearing...
