A few weeks past i posted a question about what to take on a long road trip.

I just completed the trip. 1900km in 19hours. This includes the stops which the car didn't need but i did.

And nothing went wrong, absolutely amazing driving. Seeing new cars in the mountains on the side off the road being fixed or towed, just made me smile a little.

Thanx for the great help from everyone on this board.

Rgds
A happy driver.

Passing a bunch of broken German iron in the mountains while driving a thirty year old Brit car must be, well, rewarding?;)

I pulled over to help someone with a "completely restored" 65 Bug a week ago. Tossed a rod. First run after the rebuild. couldn't help him what with the bad pusher so as I tooled over to my B the guy says "you ever get used to breaking down all the time?" I said Wouldn't know. I've never broken down. Twisted the key and drove off.

Awesome...just renews your faith in these little gems of the road. Glad your trip was better than you had anticipated (ie no breakdowns)
