North America is doomed

And his major policy is a Carbon Tax. Where it is apparently NOT going to be revenue generating for the government. But they are going to tax all carbon creating businesses, and give the citizens a tax break. This would cripple the economy and increase the price of EVERYTHING. He is saying that the decrease in tax cuts will far outweigh the price increases, however it will increase to cost of all the products we are trying to export, in essence making them not competitive anymore. That will mean job losses and increased prices for everyone.

IT sounds like the dumbest plan I have heard of since there will be no benefit to the government and it will cripple canadian businesses.

He say he will create a government agency to overlook the program to ensure that the government isn't generating revenue from the tax. But if the taxes go down will he then increase our income tax to accomidate that? How can you guarantee a net zero?

IT just doesn't make sense....

BTW Paul, I saw the Leafs won tonight, now they just need to keep that up. October 18 can be counted as a loss for them though. :)

Paul, I did not mean it as joke I was just trying to follow all the posts you have written on the politics and trying to get them in a category I can understand. I can't tell jokes I don't have a sense of humor.
