My wife and I had a great ride over the weekend in the town where we live. Both days, Saturday and Sunday. I didn't take the time to wash the B but did get some pics to save the moment.

Looks great!
Keep the top down year round! Just wear a parka when it's cold. It's invigorating and keeps all the onlookers wondering about your sanity! :)
Very nice! I just hope mine looks that good some day.
Kevin
We know what a B looks like, how 'bout some scenery??
Nice car, wonder what it looks like when you do wash it B)

It was 69 degrees in Maine on Halloween. It was great for my grandsons out trick or treating. Got running behind and never did get to take the 67 out for a topless run. The GT really likes Fall however. I will have to get the studded tires on it in teh next couple of weeks.
Albert,
You've done a really nice job on the car. Love the wires, too.
Hope to see it in person one of these days!
I wish I could get my wife to ride along with the top down this time of year...

Funny you should say that! There were a bunch of people taking shots of the setting sun over the little harbor where I took this shot. A woman walked up to my wife and said, "Figures, everybody's taking pictures of the sunset and this guy is taking pictures of his car".
Watch this space tomorrow. I'm gonna go right back to the same spot and take a WIDE shot that will show you the view.
Funny Jim, that's what it looks like here today. ;) Yesterday was gorgeous. We sat in T-shirts watching the whales and dolphins swim by for two hours. Sure doesn't feel like November! Today is equally gorgeous, high 70's and blue.
i get scenery everyday but i dont see ab that looks fantastic everyday.great car.
Very nice car Albert, are those bolt-on wires?"
Thanks and yes they are bolt on wires...but don't say that too loud...I don't want everybody to notice.
I initially wanted to go the whole conversion route as I've had wires on past cars and like them. But as this is only year 3 of a multi-year rolling restoration I've got several things that are higher on the priority list. (I actually had a very nice set of LEs on the car).
When I saw these posted for only $100 each I decided to go with them; telling myself that I'd replace them with real wires as soon as the budget allowed.
I have since come to really like them.
So, yup, these are BOLT ON WIRE WHEELS!
Thanks Lewk, for helping me to come clean, here on the MGE
Here's a view. My wife thinks its her green house. But if you look closely you might be able to see my wire wheel and bench grinder...I also set up a cardboard "spray booth" for painting all the engine bay parts, etc. The temps get up around 100 even on the coldest days(when the sun is out) perfect for baking on the finish.
I'm learning something everyday. Where would one look for bolt on wire wheels?
Kevin
The B looks really great. My wife wants your wife's greenhouse.
To rectify the misleading title, how about almost topless in New England

Albert, your engine compartment looks like a dinner place setting at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco! Great job and thanks for sharing the photos.:D
And one of the engine bay..."
That's disgusting, I mean embarrassing. The engine compartment looks fantastic. Very nice car, too. Best, mike
Pete do you have a copy of that photo before it was photo-shopped. :D
