I put oil in my freshly rebuild gearbox last night and discovered two oil leaks. The first is an easy fix it's the gasket or lack there of at the spedo drive. The second is not so easy and fortunately not a bad leak just a very slow drip from one of the two brass plugs on the right hand side of the main box. Of course the tranny is all bolted up in the chassis with new floorboards and tunnel all snugged in and sealed up.
So what size and type of wrench / tool is used to remove the offending plug(s)?
What surprise might I find hiding behind the plug?
Should I just get use to it and keep a drip pan under the car from now until the next clutch goes in?
Why don't the British manufacture computers? They haven't figured out how to make them leak.
Thanks
