Ok cars experts, I found a ' 74B. this guy has owned car since ' 96. he is second owner. always garaged. new paint job (good-not great). new seats and carpet. new clutch. motor solid. 78,000 miles. new top. real clean. appears to be his baby. honest guy (friend of a friend). asking $4,500. says he has $6,000 into it. worth it or not? need your opinions. thanks. (this will be my second one)....I'm hooked.

Sounds like a fair price for a rust free car of that year.

if you go to

http://www.nadaguides.com/ValuesHome.html,

in the web site there is a section for imported vehicles. that section gives the fair values of vehicles... and from what i read, it is an average $$$ amount he is quoting you..

I have to go along with Skye. In reality the car is worth whatever it is worth to YOU. It's not hard to dump 6 Gs into a car to make it nice and you are usually better off buying one ready to go than to rebuild it yourself. Unless, of course, you're a bone motorhead and too pickey about every aspect of your car to let anyone have ever done anything to it, like me.

Is it a chrome bumper or rubber?
I ask because mine is chrome and 74 was the year that they had both. Enjoy!

I stored mine under a Tyvec cover for over a year untill I could restore my clapped out old garage.
