MG MGB and MGB GT Tech Talk
Went by Moss Motors yesterday for the first time. Cool place to visit. Took in my swap meet special Valve Cover to get an oil cap. Had Kelvin take a look at it, he said it was an early Moss Valve Cover and that it was sort of an antique now. He took some pictures of it for the Moss history archives and told me to see if a Chevy cap might fit. Anyway I bought a few other parts while I was there and thought it was a cool place to visit.
Did you meet Giles Kenyon? He's the Brit in charge of sales. Likes MCs fwiw...
Would like to do that some day. my trips to SoCal are usually so rushed I barely have time to check the usual attractions!
Moss -- up near Santa Barbara -- used to have an annual MG show/get together which I went to a few times. A good excuse to get out of L.A. for a day and breathe some fresh air along the coast for a change. No longer, though. Guess it was too much work to take on every year, but I enjoyed the drive up and back and it was fun to hang out for a few hours with a more civilized crowd than I normally hang out with. :)
I made the pilgrimage in '03. Treated well, and got the tour! Saw one of the first Mini's there up close. Good People! I've sure spent enough money with them...
I bought a TD interior there in the 70s. I figured I'd save the shipping and instead paid sales tax for more than shipping. Considering I flew out from Pittsburgh it really wasn't a money saver.
