This was not my auction but I am curious what your opinions are of this this price:

I would say so. Seller sounded honest enough, but what the car is worth depends on what someone is willing to pay for it. Around here, it could fetch $1500, maybe $2000. The biggest POS will get $1500 here if it functions

it woukd make one good parts car bumpers wheels top door panels look pretty good i would not pay more then 800 for it though and after taking what i needed i would relist it on ebay as a project car and probably get 400 or 500 for it . where is it located?

It was in the Chicago area. If it was near me I might have gave it a shot during the auction, if not for anything at least a good parts car. I am in Vermont and there is not much to choose from around here. I am anticipating an MGB in my price range will show up at the Stowe Classic Car Show or at least I can make some contacts there. I saw a couple last year but had just bought my Rover. It's a great british car show and I never miss it.

Geez, that sounds like pretty cheap price. The big IF is the sill condition but the guy really tried to list it all. In the Northeast that would be a great bargain. How far are you willing to travel in New England for a B?

Looks like about a $900.00 car to me. I bought one with similarly described issues once and remember literally throwing a party a year later when I sold it for 500. The rust was the basic culprit!

Carl-

I need to keep it a day trip. My price range tops out at $2000.00 max and even that is might have to be be lowered soon. I am not in a big hurry but would like something by the time the snow starts falling again.
