Due to a hardware failure of the server (second hard drive gave up the ghost), the server has been down from Friday until today, Tuesday (4 days).

I managed to recover all the data off the failed drive and I've worked very hard and spent a bit of money to upgrade the hardware and software in the server so that it will be even better than before.

If you notice anything amiss email me at skye@ffwd.com and I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Enjoy,
Skye

Yeah, but you were posting about the exhaust system while I was writing about it. Tit for Tat I guess.

What's a Tat?

Skye:
That's aweful, hope you didn't have to replace a big expensive SCSI drive. I, as all the rest of us surely are very glad to see the server back up. This is the best MGB related BBS out there, maybe best BBS period. It'd be a shame to see it go. The people are very technical, responsive, and engaging. With those kind of qualities, it takes quite a bit of machinery to handle all the chat. Thanks again.

Thanks Skye, Iknow it takes a lot of work to keep this thing running. I've really enjoyed it since I found it, and I felt really lost when it was down. Thanks again, and have a great day!!!!

Thanks Skye. The paper out here in the scrub brush reports that the NW (Seattle) was smurfed on Friday causing all sorts of havoc. Would that do it?

Wow - thanks for all your kind words, you know the concept of "community" is thrown around a lot on the Internet but that's exactly what we've got here!! Makes it all worthwhile.

The MGB Experience is only one of many web sites I host on my FFWD server... if you're interested in seeing the full list just go to:

http://www.ffwd.com/

Now, back to the important stuff!
