So I buy this weber carb and install, runs fine
but when at idle it is searching between 500 and 1000 then dies. Amy ideas?

you could try the google book search for weber carb tuning books, link is here. I used to suffer through reading the book on google until i got sick of crossing tmy fingers and hoping that the pages i needed would show up & I bought the books. maybe it'll work for what you need. it's a start at least.

I have that book, it is pretty comprehensive, although not specific to MG's.
