Guys

I'm trying to work out the postage cost of an MGA crankshaft but dont know what it would weight.
Its for a Mark II.

I'm hoping its less than 20kg so it can go via Aust post.

David.

David - if you are still looking for the weight of the crankshaft, let me know. I can weigh mine when I get home from work this evening....

Hi Leslie. David Lake had posted this question on my behalf. (Would you believe Brian Barford, from who I recently bought my MGA, has "found" a brand new 1622 crankshaft, still in its original BMC wrapping, that he'd "forgotten about" (!!) He wants to GIVE it to me, and we are trying to work out how to get it back.)
If you have the time, it'd be great if you could weigh your crank for me.

Leslie,

Dave Headley from the MGB forum offered 35 pounds (15.9 kgs).
If its not too hard it would be good to weight another for comparison.

At 15.9KG it looks like it could go via Aust post or Tom could sneek it onto the plane to get it back to Sydney.

Thanks.

I will weigh mine when I get home (3 more hours) - will post results as soon as I have them :)
