I love the Puma! Were they all VW powered or did some have other engines?

I really don't know. Last sunday was the first time I saw one of them; but sure It does look very very nice.

All VW. A prototype lives near me. Imported by a guy who got reassigned to the Rock Island Arsneal. I can board the passenger side but not the drivers....

I've seen a couple with Porsche 356 engines but to put anything else in would require major work. I know there have been 911 engines used too, but these are engine conversions for these cars. They were specifically made based on the VW.

The GT was not the only car they made. I lived in Brazil for a few years and used to see them occasionally. But I lliked the Puma GTB better. It was powered by a somewhat tweaked 250ci chevrolet straight six. I used to think they were quite pretty, but you saw far fewer of them. More costly and less fuel efficient.

Rear view which I thought was the cars best.
