I'm not the worlds most knowledgeable automotive geek, but I do like to occassionally read the descriptive fine print. Scanning a report on the 2010 BMW Z5 sDrive35i, it makes the statement "sleeplessly" variable valve timing. How do these insomniac valves differ from ones whose timing is more rested? Inquiring minds and all that...?
What does this mean?

An internet search reveals nothing even at the BMW site....I think its a translation problem at VW...probably a redundancy for variable....just my stab....

Possibly a misprint as well.
It may have meant to read: "Steplessly variable..."
