For that kind of money, I think we need to see a little more info than "Fully restored -- none nicer"

I also think there's going to be plenty to point out about this one. I'll start: top folded incorrectly, speaker cutouts in the rear bulkhead, third brake light.

yeah we could looks like it has AC

oh the humanity.. the poorly folded top..

No under car shots.. nice car though.. but could be a lipstick restoation for all we know.. as we know how loosely 'restoration' is thrown around

Any coat of eyewash looks good in photos. It has to pass the eyeball test and then it has to drive exceptionally well to even approach that kind of money.

If the tub on the car is as good as the other bits, it is quite a nice car. Looks like a very fresh restoration with a lot of correct bits in the engine compartment. Maybe not Clausager correct, but an effort has been made. If he bought a good car to start, and paid someone to do the work, he is weel into the dollar value.

If it has not been driven much since restoration, it will need sorting (always do) and that would be very frustrating to me if I paid that kind of money. Too bad he did not restore a Healey, he would have got his money back rather than the 15,000 people are gooing to want to pay for this car.

The wipers are parked on the wrong side?

Nice car, better than most. Still too much $$$$.

The website shows 'sale pending' It has been shown that MGB's in near perfect turnkey condition from a dealer are selling at this price (ask Paul Seeberg what his mechanic is selling his for). What is shown of the car is great. They might have changed the wiper parking for more driver visibility (I have thought of doing that as Bob M did with his GT).

Gorgeous looking 68 B! If it looks as good up close and underneath it will sell rapidly. Very little incorrect about it that I could notice, and nothing much that matters.

Early 68s with 2 wipers parked them as did the earlier Bs as I recall from my 68, so the wiper parking may well be correct.

Well I don't smoke, I put 12 years into this restoration, you can't get any closer to perfect and it is honestly represented.
I also enjoyed driving the car on the weekends.
The 68 B Roadster sold 2 weeks ago for high 20's (consignment). So for those of you who want to get good money for your car do the resto right and you may be rewarded.
The price of course doesn't cover my labor of course, or the real amount invested in the car. You may have seen this car at the Stowe show
a couple years ago. A fellow walked up to me and offered me 20k on the spot, I declined.
Also there was a red B in concours that someone wanted to buy for $35,000 but the seller wouldn't sell. (Carl knows him).
A B will sell if you find the right buyer who appreciates a nice example.
However, I am keeping my 68 GT until they pry my hands off the steering wheel.
Cheers!

Well, good on ya mate !

Its hard for me to understand why guys that own MGBs slam the good ones that come up for sale.

Why would one not applaud every car that is offered or sells for a good price?

That is a very nice looking car.....we should be happy they are trying to get that price rather than dumping on it. If a Healey can go for 100k, and they are really an old fashioned POS car, why in heavens name can't we encourage people to ask 29k for an MGB? Of course its not perfect.....may 35k if it was?

All '68 cars had the wipers park the same as early cars....this car is correct. Triple wipers didn't come out til the '69 model year.

I think Carl means me, Rick. I changed the parking on mine to the right (see photo). A remarkably easy thing to do. All that is involved is mounting the cable rack for the wipers on the top of the wheel box , rather than the bottom ~ or is it the other way around?? I forget and it is too late to run outside and look. Regardless, If "NORMAL" OE is with the rack on the bottom, then move to top, and if on the top, then move to the bottom. Just mount the cable rack opposite of OE position on the wheel boxes. Time for me to go to bed.

BTW, you will need different wiper arms as well.
