I believe they are American Racing or A.R.E.

I thought the car looked familiar. This is the quote from the ad where the car is listed for sale:

"and nice period Enkei wheels with nearly new tires."

Not the look I care for, they put the BMWish touch on a English Classic. JMO
All in all it's not a bad looking rim, but it does look like an Enkei rim. LOL

There not bad looking and less maintenance than wires.

I once bought an SCCA race MGB just because it had a set of black Enkei rims on it. Well, that and it was cheap.

A guy in Chicago wanted the car, and I was trying to sell it without the wheels, but he made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Still would like a set of them, but just picked up a set of American Racing Libres' so will have to do with them.

kelvin.

Thanks all..
I thought they look good, kind of a compromise between wire and steel wheels. Less hassle/maintenance yet look good still..

I had a similar set of wheels on my Jaguar XJS. They referred to them as the "lattice" style. A good looking wheel in my opinion.

I believe they are Enkei 92s.

It probably makes sense to buy the car just to get the wheels. ;-)

Agree 100%, and I say this as someone who used to drive a BMW 3 Series with Ronal lattice wheels mounted on it. The Ronals made the BMW more "BMW like", which was the whole point.

I'm not saying the same wheels look bad on a B. They actually look nice. They also serve to dilute the original aesthetic of the car pretty well, too. JMO.

For you guys wanting vintage style alloys check out this site. He has American LeMans and American Libres shown and usually has some other styles as well that would fit a B. http://www.akhwheels.com/pages/inventory.php?cat=1
There's another site which has wheels such as the Enki. http://www.zparts.com/ads/wheels/wheels_fs.html

Not hawking my stuff, but just responding to the post -

I have a set of wheels like that for sale on Craigslist, although they have the black lattice. For our Canadian brothers, I'll make special deal...

Check them out at:

Nice looking wheels, but all those tiny triangles to clean round

Perhaps, but I'd much rather deal with them than with wire wheels!
