Sorry guys, MGC mechanics are completely new to me, so I intend to ask quite a few stupid questions. The 'Y' connector and 4 (I'm guessing brake) lines need to go somewhere. Brake servos?
Also, is there anything else a more familiar eye can tell me at first glance?

what's missing?

Does that plastic Y conector hooked up to the inlet manifold? If so, then it is most likely the crankcase breather. There may be 2 steel pipes coming off the tappet side covers ( on the block below the head ) which are surposed to join up to the Y connector. If there is only one steel pipe, there may be 2 places on the inlet manifold, or 1 place on each carb ( as per MGB ) for the hoses to go, and turn the Y piece around.
There are posts in this section about brake boosters. I don't have a 'C, but they did have boosters originally ( some had 2? ). So yes those brake hoses should go to and from the booster.

Sorry. Those are all your brake booster connections.
The plastic Y is in the vacuum line connected to the one way check valve in the intake manifold. The Y connects to each of the two boosters to supply the vacuum. That hose originally was mounted in the strap on the top side of the heater fan motor mounting bolt.
The four brake lines are the hydraulic connections, two from the master cylinder to the boosters and two from the boosters to the brake balance failure warning switch cylinder. From there the lines split to the two front brakes and to the rear brakes.
Other details: Auto transmission, 1969 carburettors, emissions injector manifold still on head (I could use one of those,) Radiator cap on thermostat housing (probably missing expanion tank?) airpump filter and carb fan thermostat missing.
Car looks straight even if a bit of corrosion.
C Ya,
Mark
well, at least my guess was accurate ... anyone know where i can find a set? If not, what is my best option: searching for a pair and having them rebuilt, switching to Lockheed (what else would that entail?), or going with what I'll call 'the Jay Musgrove Mod'; posted 3/23/08?
*Update* - brake assist may be somewhere in the garage the car came out of. My fingers are crossed
