You scored Steve! Looks like you may have to buy a gallon or two of Picklex though. But I dont see any gaping rotten spots. Whats your plan?
John
What is Picklex? I plan to restore it and if it comes up better
than my current one, I'll keep it. Then sell my 59?
I saw your 59 down in Bellingham on the way to Breckinridge and you will have a hard time bettering that one! Picklex is basically a phosphoric acid product used to convert rust.
Thanks John. All that rust is only surface stuff. The car was media blasted
about 20 years ago and some metal work done at that time. Been sitting
in a dry garage since then (Only 6 short blocks away, unknown to me,
until now)
Well done, looks like a great project!

John,
Steve and I are discussing what Picklex converts the rust into...............gold perhaps? ;)
That is correct. In fact they are studying the possibility of using it in the Yukon for coverting all the rusting mining dredges.
Cool. I'd like to get in on this. Sounds like a good investment........:bouncing:
