The hubby and I just returned from our trip (yep Kim, N.J. again) so I've missed all of the good stuff. How many of you are already in St. Louis and how many are on the way? Hey, I wish each and everyone of you a great time and sure wish I could be there too!!

Chuck, Kim I hope to see everyone tomorrow night. If I can get my big A$$ in gear and get out of bed I hope to be there before the 5PM traffic jam. I Plan to leave about 5AM

The jam starts at 4:00PM on I-270, but it's not to bad the direction you'll be going. Coming this way it's pretty tough, been there done that a couple of times on auction runs.

Chuck, Phil and I (and Chas, of course!) just got back from dinner, and will be in St. Louis tomorrow.

Today my trip odometer hit 1,000 miles, from eastern Pa. to here (Evansville, Indiana.)

Phil took us on some especially outstanding roads on the way down here today. Wow! Talk about curves in the road! Don't know why they built the roads that way, but sure glad they did. What a blast to run on! And today was the first sunny and hot day in a looooong time...

They followed the path of a drunken Native American. Indian isn't politically correct, but it looks much worse their way.

I'm heading out from Texas at 8:30 AM, with three other cars taking the boonie trails. We're going to stop in Springfield for the night, then run what we can find of old Rte. 66 into St. Louis. There is a larger group of us Texans heading straight up the superslab at about the same time, they'll be there tomorrow night. They may get there faster, but I'm betting we'll have more fun!!
(That is, if my new [again] motor makes it. I've only got about 300 miles on it!!!!)

My new motor has about 300 miles too! I'm also praying that I don't have any problems.

Good Luck Ken!

With all the rain and flooding we've had in Kentucky, I'm glad I'm sitting this one out. Sunshine is supposed to return on Friday, and I'm taking my 71 bgt and 79 roadster on a club drive to Breaks Interstate Park, on the Ky/Va border, on Saturday. A friend from Atlanta, is supposed to be here and I'm letting him drive his choice of the MGBs on the club drive of the ABCS. It's interesting to follow the adventures of everyone trying to get to St Louis. Sure hope everyone makes it and has a great time. No more blown head gaskets, eh Gary! Hope Kim gets her electrical problem sorted out for the drive back to Pa. Good Luck all you intrepid troopers!

I am a new guy here (and a kidder). You guys are having too much fun! I am jealous! Everyday I get up and stare up to the morning sky and just HOPE for some sunshine. It was a cruel, cruel winter and our summer has started VERY slowly. Seriously, I wish you all a safe and happy trip and hope the motor gods are with you!
