I wonder why this car did not receive higher bids?

Why is my link not working right?

The auction says that the seller ended it early -- perhaps he sold it outside of eBay. I'll bet that if it had been allowed to run to completion it would have broken $10,000 (although I'm not sure about $17,900).

For links, I precede them with [ url ] and follow with [ /url ] (only without spaces inside the brackets)

Rob, the info you give is to link photos. To make an active link, you will need to use < before and > after the address, with no spaces

Larry, I my opinion, the car is not worth the "Buy it Now" price. Often, sellers use this price as their reserve, so that that scares me off right off the bat. The car, in my eyes is worth in the neighborhood of 8 to 10K. It is a nice car, though, but 74 is not considered to be the most collectable car like the earlier steel dash cars are.

Thanks guys, I didn't notice that the seller ended it early. I think the buy it now price is high. But if I had dollars to burn...I would have paid it. Sure looks good in the pictures.

Gerry,
The method I mentioned works with regular links as well:

When I first joined this forum, I tried the <> method but it didn't seem to work for me, so I only use the [][/] method....

Rob, That's good to know. Never tried it that way, but it just seems easier to me just to add the carrots, but I guess it's all in what you get used to

That is one of the best looking MGB's I've seen at least on Ebay, and I can't really see why it wouldn't be worth considerably more, even with the inevitable unknowns! Even just for esale purposes I would think it was a bargain.

Wow that is a beautiful car! I took mine out of the garage for a short drive tonight, still not road ready, seats not bolted to the floor! Other issues, but it sure is fun to drive, I can't wait, I am soooo close to getting another MG back on the road!
