Today I tore apart my windshield wiper motor to see if I could determine what was causing it to squeal. I think I fixed it, but before I put it back together, what kind of lubrication do you use on the gear and stuff in there? It had a really thick grease in there that I assume was still the original stuff. Would wheel bearing grease work, or would it get thin and leak out onto the unfortunate passenger?
Thanks,
Trent

JDW (John D. Weimer) had some good advice about my similar question and can't remember his specific advice. Do some searches on the topic. Get something that is pretty heat resistant or it will run is the upshot. Think I used wheel bearing grease. Had my unit apart to cure slow running which was caused by a ton of dirt and crud in the motor itself.
