So I was into my center console this weekend messing with a new radio and somehow managed to muck up my flashers (neither turn signals nor emergencies now work).

My shop manual has a nice drawing of what it looks like back there, but doesn't make note of the wire colors.

Does anyone have a nice picture, drawing or explanation of which wires go to what terminals on the switch and flasher so I can rule out an idiot putting things back together? (Which I think is more likely than the flasher unit or switch deciding to take a dive at a time when blame is likely to point to human, rather than mechanical failure).

Connections all seem good but I'm not above wondering if the Prince of Darkness has his hand in this one either.

Scott, You may have to use an ohm meter to determine which green wire to hook up because one runs back to the fuse panel the other green to the Turn signal flasher. or turn the ignition switch on and find 12 volts on one of the green that one goes to Number 1.

1 Green
2 Green
3 Green with white
4 no wire
5 Green with Red
6 Light green with brown

Google advanced wire they have excellent coloured diagrams

Yep.

That wiring diagram is GREAT, Paul. I ended up off on 3 more little projects now that I've got it! {:o)

Just think of all the fun you've missed out on over the years by not owning an MGC and not joining in here sooner....;)

Ha! I bought the car when I was 17 back in '81. I can't BEGIN to tell you how much of the wiring is speaker wire and extension cords.

I've had close to 300,000 miles and nearly 30 years of fun with her.... It's the sage advice that I've been missing out on. B)

I only have 250k on my fishin car, better put her in the wind to catch up. Only had to tow her home once.
