MGB: WTB MGB Mk1 glove box hardware

Looking for the glove box buffer and catch, part numbers AHH6292 and AHH6291, for a Mk1 MGB.

I'm away from home, and my parts lists. Can you describe the buffer? By catch do you mean the part that attaches to the dash itself, that the 'hook' catches? If so, I probably have both of these pieces.

I have to go by the parts diagrams, so this isn't as clear as I'd like. The catch looks like it screws to the dashboard and catches the hook on the back of the glove box lock. The buffer is a little harder to describe My guess is that it also screws to the dashboard, probably underneath the catch, and serves as a stop for the glove box lid.

OK, I'm clear on what you mean now. I have a lot of dash components and I'm pretty sure I have a couple of those somewhere. I'm already looking for some parts for Lonnie including the parts you describe but I'm betting I have more than one set in there. I'll give a look in the parts cabinets tonight or tomorrow and get back to you.

Steve, when you look thru your treasure trove of glove compartment hardware, could you check and see if you
have the lock assembly (hopefully with key) to fit a 77-80 rb MGB.

All of my hardware is for Mark I MGB. If the lock assembly is the same then I may have what you need. If anyone can let me know about that by tomorrow then it would be great. Apologies, but I had no chance to dig for parts tonight since it's late, I just got home and have to get up early to do it all over again at work tomorrow. I will get to it tomorrow evening though.
