1965 MG B

It started as an add on Craigslist. 1965 MGB $1300.00
I thought I'd be looking at a basic pile of rust. Not so.
At first I thought I was looking BMH body. It had been prepped down to the metal. No door cracks, no dog leg
rust, no rocker problems, solid floors.....nothing.....
not even bondo.
Interior was out, engine was out, but he had everything
in baskets, boxes, buckets, and bags. Looked all there.
The wiring harness was hanging where the dash use to be.
The wiring harness looked odd, but I thought it was a deal. No problem.....I own an MGB.
I took the car directly to our body shop to paint the body. Even the body techs that have no idea what an MG is
thought the body was solid. Dark British Racing Green
it is. Still the wiring looked different and low and
behold, there is a dual circuit braking system. And
now you know the rest of the story. It's a '73 body
with a '65 title. The vin numbers are good and there is
no problem with the '73 as stolen, so we're good. Just an adventure of 1965-73 MGB. Many have walked this journey and I hope you all give me some directions. Here's the first pic from the body shop.
