This is my intro to this site. Been an 1973 MGB owner for 15 years. Same car. Home is in northern Louisiana and have driven the car all the way to Canada and it knows the way to the Great Smokey Mountain National park, by itself!! My name is; Green, M G. My car is a green MGB. License plate is for Antique Louisiana - GREENMG. Plate applies to both of us!
Have done all the maintenance and repairs to the car myself for 15 years.
Car has twin SU carbs, type HIF.
After replacing the air filters, it now continues to accelerate and I have to turn off the engine to prevent over revs. Have checked the accelerator springs and fuel pressure and idle adjustments. No solution......
Any ideas????
