The Story So Far
Created on 2007-11-26 22:43:18
Acquired the '65 MGB in Sept '07 a few days after selling my '64 MGB. It came with an almost complete restoration history (1997-2002) including bills for $20K+ (ouch!)not including the unknown cost of the unrestored car. So plenty of cash spent but what the car needed right away was a new steering wheel. So we now have a wood rimmed Moto Lita. A general tidy-up has included replacing missing grommets, screws, sorting wiring, getting the heater fan and washers working, fixing bonnet and trunk stays, fitting the correct handbrake cable, RTV silicon on the wire wheel hubs, anti-seize lube on the knock-offs, removing unwanted paint from the clutch and brake master cylinders, new engine compartment decals, wrinkle finish for the glove box. The bigger(i.e.expensive)jobs have been limited to new front shocks and bushings and tie rod ends. The to-do list is not very long now and everything will be complete by next Spring.
