She Runs! And Drives Too. But Stopping...

October 2007 - I got new tires on and can finally take her off of the jack stands. She stills sounds good and shifted easily into gear for a trip up the driveway. So I just had to take a couple gentle runs around the lake. It's obvious the next step is a master cylinder for the brakes!

Does It Run?

September 2007 - Impatience got the best of me. I wanted to follow the "Awakening a Sleeping MGB Checklist" I got from the Autoist's web site, but...
I Drained the gas tank, put in new spark plugs, battery, changed the oil and filter, and put in a new fuel filter. I couldn't help myself! She fired right up and sounded pretty good. Not bad for sitting for 5 or 6 years! I've gotta get her off the jack stands so I can see if I can drive her. Is that brake fluid or clutch fluid at my feet?

And So It Begins

August 2007 - It all happened one day at lunch. Gary was complaining that he'd have to sell his MG. Next thing I know, I've sold my 1974 Ramcharger per the wife's conditions and am now the proud owner of a 1973 MGB. Gary says he hadn't started her in 5 or 6 years but ran good the last time. He looked sad as I towed her away but I promised him a couple of rides when I got her up and running.

And so it begins
