did coupla small things, whats left w/o having the engine...

hung ex hangers, made sure everythings clean, fitted ex pieces toghter to make it easy when its build time.

i noticed in my trunk, the day i bought her, 2 odd rubber straps.

a while later i found 2 more, broken, connected to the chassis. so today i finally think to put em in, i ask how important, what do they do and such on the forum, and yes, they are important (i woulda put em on either way) so i go to put them on (ive been putting penetrant oil on em all weekend in prep) and snap! the bolt goes. stupid stud. now im wondering, is it like a usual stud? can i just screw it out and replance? i gotta ask.
i didnt have the heart to try the other, and i dont want her hangling one way in one direction, and diffrent in the other....

ok, back to work, i want em fixed and on, dammit! ill have to ask how this repair goes...

In The Beginning...

journal, eh? i like it.

so about 6 mos ago i bought my 76 mg. my first car.
kinda proud to have the quickest, or coolest car outta all my frends, and all i payed was 2g.

so, over the 6 months, i noticed a drop in oil pressure, and i finally lost it, so i figure "hey, its late winter, lets geterdone before the next fine summer comes." im still workin on that. and its april 09. well, it will be great when its done.
now, i aint got a driveway to use, or a garage, so she is out on the street. its funny watching neibors watch you pulling rather large pieces outta your car.
got most of the real work outta the way, most everything is clean, side things are in (new gas tank and sender, upgraded alternator) and i was gonna build this weekend, but the machenist called- the cam is shot. seems to be the only thing the short oil starvation period got too (and the only thing i wasnt planning on replacing)
so, that'll have to go. and im now deciding what new shiny cam should go in.
in the end im planning on having rebuilt everything (engine and clutch, and the tranny has only 5,000 mi on it)
with h/c pistons, a all-new stock exaust, the same webber dgv, and my (at this time) mystery cam.

ill make sure to keep... me posted. i dont think anyone else wants to read this.
