DPO FUEL PUMP WIRE

I replaced the fuse block on my 71 roadster the other day took care to write down where all the wires were connected, Put in new block hooked wires up went for a drive noticed my front turn singnal light was on steady checked light switch off, turn indicator off Hmm.
Went back home and started checking my rewiring to fuse block found if i disconneted fuse pum wire and moved to different spots on fuse block different things came on and stayed on with ignition off and on.
Finally figured out DPO ran a hot wire from ignation to fuse block to power fuel pump I tried to just use fuel pump wire no power to pump. I wired the hot wire PO installed to pump wire and everything is good now.
I still have to figure out why the pump will not run off fuse block.
