Midget Is Running Great At The Moment.

Went for a nice ride yesterday. Made a quick run to the bank in Englewood, NJ then into the PIP. A pergect day. Leaves were peaked! I have the top up now. The evenings are getting pretty cold. I messed around with radio for a while trying to get it to work. I narrowed the problem to the amplifier. It is not powering up. Which means it's boken or (more likely) it's not pluged in properly. I found a wire comming out of it that's not attached to anything.

Got my historic plates. Took about 3 weeks like everyone said it would. Got the car back from the garage last night. It now has a new radiator, battery, alternator, anti-freeze, etc. Seems to drives much better now. Cost me fortune, though.

I was on a date the other night. I picked up my girl in the Midget and we headed up a hill. The car started to sputter and then died. I pushed it to a gas station and put some gas in it. Still won't start. I think I have a clogged fuel line. It's going to the garage in Cresskill, NJ today to get sorted out. And get it's new radiator I just got from MOSS!

Picked Up The MG From The Garage Today.

Runs great! They replaced the gas, cleaned the carbs, adjusted the timing, put in new spark plugs, put in new oil filter, and some other stuff. Car will need a new radiator, brake job, and new tires. Props to Tony over at Log Cabin Service in Cresskill, NJ.
Took the car for a little spin through Tenafly. It's so much fun to drive!

Well, sort of. Hooked the '74 Midget up to my BMW. All the lights came on, fuel pump made some noise, windshield wipers, turn signals work. But she just wouldn't turn over. I checked the engine tank and sure enough it was empty! Picked up some 20-50 oil and poured it in the engine. But now it looks like rain so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to give it another shot.

Got Insurance And Plates!

They are normal NJ plates but i can use them for two weeks. i still need to get the historic plates (QQ). Unless of course i can find someone to give the 74 Midget a pass for inspection. I picked up some jumper cables and plan on jumping it off my bmw tomorrow. Unfortunetly, i have almost no money left if the car needs servicing.
