Went up to Jupiter to watch the Brazilian Grand Prix this weekend with some other car guys, and happened to have a few pics snapped. Fun time was had by all. There were some GREAT cars on hand (including a '30s Alfa F1/GP car.)

Here is me in Madge back in the early 80s, taking a drive through Bidwell Park (where they filmed the old Erroll Flynn Robin Hood and location shots for most films like Tarzan that were *supposed* to be set in Africa during the 40s and 50s).

Classic shots, look like movie production stills!

Came out of the office to go to lunch and found that Arnold the Attack Heron had done a great job of protecting Madge from the bands of huns that occasionally ride through the industrial park.

How long have you had her? Is it a 69' MGC? Manual? Looks great.
Comment by Scott McGrath at 2011-11-14 12:20:47
Yep. '69 Manual/OD. I bought her back in '81 when looking for a Big Healey that I could
afford as a High School Student working P/T at a Deli - Figured that I'd trade her in when
the right one came along at the right price. Hasn't happened yet and there's just so much
history between us now that it probably won't )

Back In College

For a brief time back in 85, I took on a '62 B.

Just came across this photo of the two of them that I took for a photography class at Cal State Chico in Bidwell Park.

The B ended up being too much of a chore for a college student. Madge just ran and didn't seem to mind the neglect she received for a few years there.

I don't know how he got it to look so... well, "artsy", but my 8 year old took this of Madge on a picnic recently. It's grown on me.
