I hadn't had a real car for many years - needing silly things like 4 seats and a roof to transport wives,children, dogs etc so I finally decided to take the plunge. I am not a stranger to working on cars - having lived in London as a youngster I spent many an evening outside the house working on my car at the curbside.
To cut a long story short I actually bought the car at a yard sale - seriously! I was driving in my neighborhood when I saw this B sitting on someones front yard surrounded by the usual junk one sees at yard sales.
I found that the owner had had the car for 15 years during which time it had done 800 miles nad had lived in a garage so I figured that although it needed work it was a possibility so out came the check book.
