September 13, 2006 I purchased original 74.5 49k miles, original paint and interior MGBGT.During the past few months I have been refurbishing and repairing 32 years worth of neglect. PO not mechanically inclined. It was running rough so I tried to tune it up.
Don't know how PO drove it from MN to TN without problem.
Accomplished so far:
1. Valve job
2. SU overhaul, removed pump replaced hoses.Tuned up runs great.
3. Heater core leak repaired refinished heater box replacd (This was a tricky task but now I know how)
4. Found hot wire to stereo connected to horn to horn button wire causing battery to drain in about 5 days
5. Replaced seat cushions and webbing on driver and passengers side(Man it rides good now)
6. Replaced hood to body, hood to radiator seals
7. Need to replace passengers rubber floor mat due to leak from heater. I may carpet whole car.
8. No doubt I will be doing other work.
