Front Suspension Woes

After a two month wait for parts from overseas to get delivered to Moss, and then to me, (I blame Moss not at all, it happens) I finally get the chance to dig into the front suspension. Dig seems to be the operative word. After getting one pin out for the kingpins, I go to back out the pivot that the kingpin rests, only to find the brass is so soft, it strips with barely any effort at all. Hammer on a 12mm, no good, just rounds with barely any effort. Break out my trusty screw/bolt extractor set...again, the brass is so soft, the extractor just rounds out. Not sure what to do at this point but keep working at it. I do have some machinists cutters that are large enough to leave just a tad bit of room, might cut the brass out of the way, then use a chisel to break it off the threads...we will see.
