Today I got the wishbone arm assembly back together with new bushings. Got them soaking in cleaner and will clean all the grease off and then give them a new paint job.

Wow today was a great day thanks to Paul giving me a hand. Not only did we get the front cross member attached properly and torqued down we also got the rear axle and rear springs attached. Thanks to Paul it was amazing how a little help helped the job go that much quicker. Just awesome thanks Paul that was huge what you helped me accomplish today..

Frustration Once Again

After picking up the bolt I needed from Paul to put my front cross member on I went home and guess what no go. I think the frame must have been hit at some point in time and I could not get these bolts to snug up properly. I will post on the forum to see if drilling the two holes that stick a little wider in the underframe will affect the integrity and go from there.

Restoration Ready To Go

Got my last problem solved and that was removing the front cross member bolt. After many tries had to drill it out and that was a tough job but it is out and now the rebuild can be started. Paul from this site had extra one and was kind enough to give me the bolt. Going to replace the top and bottom rubber mounting pads and as soon as I have those can now start putting all the suspension and front and rear ends back on the car. Looking forward to getting this going and finally getting on the restoration part rather than the taking apart mode. Will keep updating as things move along.

Finally Finally Finally

Well I got my car back today. It has one coat of primer and all the body work has been completed at least at the first cursory glance. Now the restoration can finally begin. Took over a year for the body shop to complete this even though he told me 3 months. Not too happy but what can I do.

Another Blip

Got a call from the body shop that is working on the car. The door skins are not for the early pull handle MGB'S. The individual I bought them from says it is his mistake and will take them back but also that the early models there are no door skins available.
