The first step was to take pictures of everything. Although the engine compartment would change significantly it still helps to know where things were and how things like brake lines were routed etc.

The Beginning

I bought this 1977 MGB from "The Autoist" in June 2005. It ran, had decent brakes, and the body was almost rust free, but the original 4 cyl engine burned oil, and the suspension needed a complete overhaul.
In the entries to come, I'll document the tear-down and conversion to a 3.9L Rover V8.

Okay it neads paint, but I'm not afraid to drive it anywhere, even on dirt roads! The cherry bombs are gone, SS exhaust replaces them.
