Haven't had the opportunity to maintain this site. Here's a snap of the completed interior...

Carpet on the sills is time consuming but the rear wheel wells are a royal pain. Cutting holes for the speakers was also a joy...put the seats in temporarily (waiting for the new seat rails to arrive). Looking better as I go along...

Brought her back and started hitting the interior hard. Intend to wetsand/buff exterior to smooth out finish but will wait for more favorable weather.

Trailered the B and took it to some shops for estimates on bodyprep and paint. Much to my chagrin, the first two shops quoted me outragously high bids (relative to the cost of a painted . I ended up at a place called Peaches in Pensacola and thus far I'm impressed. They really busted butte getting her sanded to the metal and offered several extras debout. She'll be ready this weekend in a Porshe Indischrot color (indian red). http://imp.porsche.com/swiss/de/accessoriesandservices/personalisation/n47/911/911-carrera-s-red/
I'm exited to see the final result!

U Joint Hell

Monty Hendrix usa — Posted on The MG Experience

Well, about a month ago I decided to clean up the drive shaft, replace the dust/oil seal and tackle the U-joints. Two out of three went flawless...the U-joints however, are an issue with comical results. After fruitlessly bashing the crap out of the old ones to remove them, I decided to hand them over to a certified mechanic well versed in the tricks o' the trade. The bohemouth brute that beared a striking likeness to the dude who dated what's her face on Seinfeld easily bashed one end of them out with ease (making me feel like an inept novice)...but struggled with the outer-end yokes resulting in there demise. So, trusting his awe inspiring techniques, I ordered two yokes and another U-joint from Moss (I trashed the first one by installing it backwords..the grease fitting was facing the wrong direction..it didn't survive the subsequent attempt of removal). Anyway, after dropping off the parts and returning two weeks later...I'm met with the good-news/bad-news explanation. The now less than stellar in my opine eye proudly shows me the properly installed U-joint on the one end, but regretfully admits installing the opposite end "Backwards" just as I did prior (oh, and it's clearly stated on the box not to do that..but you can get all wrapped around with the twisting and all)
