Williamsburg Car Show - 2008
Created on 2008-04-22 13:05:04
I entered "Junie" in the Williamsburg Car Show, April 20, 2008. The drive with my son on Saturday, from Washington D.C. area, was a true road test as she negotiated over 300 roundtrip miles to and from the event.
She performed exceptionally well with dependable starts, smooth speed performance with functional overdrive. The lights, horns, blinkers, heater, wipers and newly installed auxillary power outlet worked flawlessly.
On the return trip, the tachometer started reading over 1000 rpm's high, but the engine was strong and ran smooth.
The new roof repelled the rains admirably...however the windshield leaked at the driver's side, lower corner and water made its way into every unplugged hole in the firewall and undercarriage...so, I'll get around to that very soon.
Overall, I was very pleased with her performance and proud of the ol' girl!
