Leaf Springs Replacement
Created on 2008-05-25 20:13:16
May 20, 2008 - My rear tires were scraping the tire wells when driving over small dips, indicating the rear leaf springs were tired and needed replacement. After collecting up all the necessary parts, I started the project late on Tuesday afternoon and finished the next evening. I replaced the springs, eye & U-bolts, shackle bushings and check straps.
The car rides at least 2 1/2 inches higher than before with better handling and smooth ride over dips and bumps. Now, I can ride with a full tank of gas and adult passenger without concern for my tires getting cut open.
