in two years the B has had three steering wheels...the one I got the car with, I think it was off a mini, the wood rimmed one that I purchased for it, but now a original wheel refurbed is on the car and it seems to add so much to the way it feels....

The First Steps

Bought the car home this weekend much to the delight of my Dad who was visiting for his 81st Birthday. My 9 year old daughter and I washed it and took it for icecream and then Dad and I spent many hours creating a list of things to do...and the list is fairly long. Thankfully it is mostly routine maintenance items. I have ordered a motormount kit as one of the mount is showing its age. The tonneau cover has been sent out to a local upholstery company for some restitching. I am now chasing a non function left rear signal...Dad introduced me to the pleasure of Lucas electrics.

The turn signal switch was full of dust and dirt which I have cleaned, I have made sure that the lamp body is well grounded and so this weekend I will start tracing and looking for power....can any one comment on the wheels on the car...are these the original wheels? I havent seen these on other cars yet as it seems the wire wheel was far more popular.
