well i have just finished the engine bay and i've got to say i'm pretty pleased with the results as its my first effort at restoring a car on my own,the only thing that was new was the rocker cover everything else was just stripped and reconditioned by myself,i'll leave you with the pictures of how it looked.pretty filthy really.

72 Mgb Roadster

i bought my mgb about nearly 3yrs ago for £250, it was in abit of a state but the sills had been done and it drove and had 80 pound on the oil pressure gauge so it seemed a good idea at the time,i would say i'm over half way through with all the welding having been done, i wanted something different so i bought a wide arched kit for it,it already had a stainless sports exhaust married to a mild steel sports manifold ,k&n air filters, and my father has just reconditioned and polished the su carbs, and they will go back on when we have finished spraying the engine bay,i had to buy a two new doors and was lucky enough to get a couple of warm climate doors which were mint, well thats about where i am with it at the moment,i will keep you posted with my slow progression, colin.
