Spit 'n' Polish
Created on 2005-11-27 13:38:41
I haven't had much time to work on the B lately. With this 4-day weekend, I was able to put in some "quality time" on the car. I had it painted and color sanded, and was stuck there for a few weeks. Well, now it's polished, and boy does it look good to me! I think I can finally say I am finished with all bodywork. Now it's on to more fun things!
For those who want specifics, the car has been painted with 4 coats of PPG DCC Green Mallard. I color sanded wet with 1500 grit paper. It was buffed with 3M Perfect It compound using a cheap orbital buffer.
I did manage to buff through the color in a couple of spots. In the spring, I'll touch up those areas since it's too cold to paint now.
