Mrs. Peel Back From The Painters
Created on 2008-07-02 19:28:36
Monday evening I went to Maaco and got this lovely little car back from the painters. There may be a lawsui as they broke a weld, but my lawyers advised me that it would do no harm to take the car home.

She;s up on a lift, and tonight I began to reassemble her. First up- seal on the boot lid. This car is a 1964 Tartan Red roadster, and the boot seal fit into a groove on the lid itself, not around the sides of the boot.

I also gave the gas tank one more coat of paint and hung the straps in preparation. I got the hangers for the fuel line, battery line, brake lines, and wiring harness ready to go. The also are coated with Eastwood Chasis Extreme, and I'm going to use stainless nylock nuts.

This project is going to take a while. I'll try to keep this journal up to date.
