Up to this point I did not keep a Journal of my activites on the car. From when it came back from the painter I started so here goes:
Nov. 27/06: replaced gas struts in hood and trunk after painting. Scared to touch the thing for fear of damaging the new paint.
Nov. 29/06: Installed hood latches; tapped body bolts in windows frames, and many others.
Nov. 30/06: Installed headlights, bonnet bumpers, hood release cable after painting it. Painted new gas tank Red Tremclad first then top coated with sprayed HL. Repainted front bumper for the 4rth time with 3 coats of acrylic enamel. Painted side mounts for folding top.

Nov 27, 2006: After two years of body work and prep we now have the Black B back from the painter ... and now she is RED... this is Retro Red, also known as Hyundai Accent RED paint code HL. I like it.

1980 Coming Back To Life

I am starting this Journal of the 80 restoration. Bought it in July 2003. Burned in Sept 2003. Now on the way back to life.
