Unpleasant Suprise

Here is what I found upon return from breakfast drive and small cloud of smoke filtering out from under the hood.
Shaft from filter base to cover plate had sheared thru at the screw head and allowed the filter to drop down and rest against the exhaust manifold creating the cloud of smoke.
