Recent Purchase 1970 MGB

After owning a 1974 B from new for 14 years and then trading it on a 4x4, I was again ready for another "B". I found this one on eBay that was a 3-owner with 36,775 miles. Original owner stored it in a barn every winter (Michigan car) and died one winter. His wife kept it there for years until someone heard of it and bought it from her. After a couple of years the 2nd owner sold it to his boss and I bought it from him.
Ok, I bought it from him on eBay and used eBay's preferred shipper (Dependable Auto Shippers) to bring my car to me. Long story short, it arrived damaged and DAS offered me $150. LOL. Seems you have to take out their extended coverage for $300 to have total coverage. I thought since they move all these cars for eBay and are preferred by eBay, who needs extra coverage??? Ok, so my "B" is now at the body shop for repairs and my insurance company is sending me a check for repairs. They will go to battle with DAS over recovering the repair costs.
So, now I see it as a blessing that they damaged my car because now I can do all the things that the car needs before I start driving it. Since the body shop owner is my brother-in-law, I am doing an all over paint job and all small body imperfections fixed. I have also spent about $2000 on replacement parts which some are listed below.

New side body stainless trim, taillight and reverse light lenses, trunk emblems, headlight trim rings, side marker lenses, new left rear bumper and re-chromed right bumper, new side glass outside rubber seals and vent glass rubber seals, trunk seal, engine compartment seal, and many upgrades for the engine bay and interior. I also hope to pull the painted wires and have them media blasted and repainted and clear coated; but don't know yet about this.
I hope to post the "finished" pics afterwards.
Thanks for reading.....
