I've been trying to figure out what this thingie is called right here:

It's the plastic pieces that cover the bracket for the support on the seat.

I have one on one side and none on the other...

So what are those black pieces called and can any of you help me find an obtain one?

This one I got it goes closest to tunnel

This one is missing closest to driver door

This one is missing, closest to driver door.

My MGB Is Back On The Road.

It's been a long time since I first encountered Skye's amazing website. The collection of people and knowledge here is unparalleled and I feel fortunate to have a portal for access.

My MGB has done a lot more sitting than driving in the time she has been with me but I anticipate that that's going to change.

Quick History. I got her as a gift from my older twin brother. He got the B first took ok care of it but wanted a bigger car for College. So I got the B.

That was way back in 1992. Since then she has been on the road running for maybe 3 of those years. It was probably for a myriad of easy issues with the main culprit for repair being low funds.

Fast Forward to 2001, My MGB is running great and I drive her and my bro to his wedding. I'm the best man and "MiGuB" is in the wedding video. It's September and it's hot. 2 days later, my brother Joe asks if he can drive his new wife to her parent's house 30 miles away. So he takes the car and works it hard and it's a hot day and boom...blow head gasket.

So again she sits. I get the head gasket fixed in 2003. She runs, the registation and smog. I choose to non-op her for 04-05 but SHE is now back. Smog costs me $400 mostly for labor...Unreal but the truth of the matter is, when she is on the road. She is so much fun to drive. I got a chuckle when I'm in a garage that has cars with sensitive alarms, there is something about the way an MGB sounds that sets them off.

It's good to be back on the road and this time...let's let her run some.
