I am happily married and have 4 great kids. I am a network administrator (computer geek) by trade. I got the 1976 MG Midget on 12/23/07 and am looking forward to learning more about general auto mechanics, as well as this little car. I look forward to getting to know the people on this site as I ask a bunch of questions

Posted on: Friday October 8, 2010

Lats week put in a new gas tank. The old one had some rust and stuff break free inside, was choking the line where the fuel exist the tank. So I got a new one from Moss Motors, got it installed and everything is fine, back on the road!

Tachometer Is Working Now

Posted on: Friday October 8, 2010

Got the tachometer working with a friends help! Turns out I was missing a wire, back of gauge to negative lead on the ignition coil. Ran a new one, works just fine. I knew I was missing a wire, but couldn't figure out which one. My buddy is much better at reading wiring diagrams. Who knew it would be so simple?

New Radiator

Posted on: Thursday July 29, 2010

I was having some trouble with overheating, so after a new thermostat which didn't do any good, I replaced the radiator last night. After a 20 mile test drive the temperature was nice and stable, right in the middle. One more major part repaired/replaced!
