AMGCR Tech Editor. Have owned an Austin-Healey 3000 since 1974, a 3000 Mk III between 1977 and 1989, an automatic 1968 MGC GT between 1978 and 1980, My current MGC GT, "The LUMP" since 1980, and recently collected a 1968 automatic roadster that was missing the engine (which I already had) and the transmission. Trying to restore the LUMP and get it back on the road.

When my older brother bought the Healey in 1970 I knew that the previous owner had been killed in action in Vietnam that previous year. After I took possesion of the car I had asked the DMV for past records looking to see how many previous owners there had been. In those days you recieved photocopies of every piece of paper that was in the car file with the State. None of the names or addresses were "blacked out" either.
