This view shows the ignition side of the engine. My modification was to adapt four GM coils that originally were fitted to late model General Motors LS-2 V8 engines, as found in the Corvette. This gives me one independent coil for each sparkplug. A Megasquirt ECU controls the spark timing and dwell sequentially for each coil and the timing is computer mapped. When I converted the engine to fuel injection I also converted the ignition system to a distributorless electronic system, also controlled by the Megasquirt. This is the ignition curve map I'm curently running with.

As part of the interior restoration of my '78 B, I replaced the dash cover which had developed some cracks on top. Here's the finished result - the messy details follow.
