Oregon Native, My Dad had a 57 Mg from 1958-1962. I was with him when he took the MGA and traded it in on a 1963 Corvair Monza. I remember that the Corvair scraped bottom on our gravel driveway. The MG never did! Married to a woman from Newfoundland and plan on retiring up there in a year or 3. Just saw Targa Newfoundland on the SPEED channel this morning. I would love to run the Midget in it. I recently put a pacesetter header and weber downdraft on my Midget. I hear people talking about rust all the time. This was one of the first things I checked. I have had two Fiat Spyders and one was rusted out! This Midget is one of the cleanest rust frees I have ever seen. It does have surface rust around the brake master cylinder and clutch. Also a spot smaller than a dime in 1 fender. I have redone the complete exhaust and been all around under and over this car, no rust there either. It is in very good condition. I only wish I had a new wiring harness in it! And maybe rear discs!

Weber cost was 329

I watched Targa Newfoundland this morning and I realized that I would like to spend my years in retirement, starting next year racing in Targa Newfoundland. I have 2 choices though. The Midget or a Datsun 280Z, I will be moving up yonder when I retire and really want to keep the MG and liquidate all of the rest. As I have too many projects anyway I need to get into the sell, sell, sell mode to help with the move.
